Air India scouts for HR & IR officers

Air India Air Transport Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air India is looking for HR & IR officers on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) basis, for a period of three years. The contract may be renewed further, based on the employees’ performance and requirement of the Company.

The Company has announced its intention to hire around five HR & IR officers to be based out of Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. However, the actual number of hires may vary. The salary offered is Rs 32,200 per month. In addition, the national carrier is also looking for an accounts officer.

Applicants for the posts of HR & IR officers, should possess an MBA or equivalent degree in HR or personnel management. The candidates should have completed a full-time two-year course and should possess knowledge of MS-Office operations. Part-time MBAs will not be entertained. However, the Company will give preference to those who have acquired qualifications in law, industrial relations or labour laws.

The candidates should also come with three years’ HR, IR or legal experience, preferably with an airline or ground-handling company. The experience must cover handling conciliations and compliance with statutory requirements with respect to labour viz ESIC, provident fund, application of model standing orders, and so on.

The upper age limit for HR and IR officers is 30 years, in the general category.
