With restructuring plans on the horizon, HP is all set to bolster its research and development division.

With over 4700 positions listed for international jobs and internships, HP, the multi-million giant, has taken a big leap to venture into the overseas market, from where it gets about 65 per cent of its sales. India stands to be one of the major hubs that might be benefitted when the Company broadens its research base. As many as 1400 jobs might be in store for the country followed by the UK with 250 openings. Emerging markets like Mexico, Costa Rica and Brazil could also see a rise in regional hubs.

These regional hubs will play a major role when the Company reshapes its workforce. A restructuring programme was started in 2012, which is estimated to eliminate about 55,000 jobs. However, it is still not clear how the hires and dismissals will be divided between HP Inc. and HP Enterprise, once the Company separates under a planned split this year.
