    Opportunities for stenos and UDC in ESIC

    The online application process for recruitment of more than a 1000 stenographers and upper division clerks(UDC) is underway at the Employee State Insurance (ESIC) portal, www.esic.nic.in.

    These vacancies have been notified via the state-wise detailed advertisements released at the beginning of this month. The link will stay active for online registration till 15 April, 2019, to facilitate online registration.

    Interested candidates may apply online by first registering and then logging in to their profile by entering the registration number, password and security code. The application process is completed only on payment of application fee. The confirmation page has to be downloaded and a printout of the application form taken before 30 April.

    For the steno post, only those who have passed 12th standard and possess a speed of 80 words per minute in English/ Hindi stenography may apply. The candidates should also have knowledge of computer applications.

    For the post of UDC, the applicants have to be graduates with working knowledge of computer applications.

    All candidates must be between 18 and 27 years of age as on 15 April, 2019. Candidates will be shortlisted via a written examination.

    The selected candidates are eligible for the revised pay scale as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. As the post is Level-4 of the Pay Matrix (civilian employees) the entry pay would be approx. Rs 25,500/- along with permissible DA, HRA, transport allowance and other allowances.
