In its quest to expand, Patanjali Ayurved, the Indian consumer goods company, is set to offer employment opportunities to the youth. The Haridwar-based company has been expanding its footprint by venturing into different sectors. Having already emerged as a major FMCG brand, it is now planning to enter the garment business with Patanjali Paridhan, and even explore technology with the soon-to-be launched Kimbho app in a bid to counter WhatsApp! The Company has published an advertisement inviting applications for various positions in its business. Most of the opportunities are for sales people capable of taking charge of Patanjali products in each district.
The Company is aiming to employ 40 to 50 sales people in each district who will get the opportunity to work in various divisions including food, personal care, home care and Astha pooja items. Patanjali will organise selection and training camps between June 23 and 27, for which registration has been made mandatory. Considering India has 716 districts, close to 36,000 people are expected to get hired as salesmen. Additionally, the Company will also recruit 50 to 100 youth in each district as home-delivery representatives.
The remuneration for vacant positions ranges between Rs 8,000 and Rs 15,000. The salary will depend on the educational qualifications of the candidates and the city to which they belong.
Last year, Patanjali Ayurveda recruited 10 summer interns from IIM Rohtak. This recruitment marked the beginning of a business relationship between IIM Rohtak and Patanjali Ayurved. These interns would be working in diverse fields in the Company, including data analytics, marketing, branding, finance and corporate strategy. IIM-Rohtak is expected to contribute to the strong trajectory of Patanjali, which is already among the largest FMCG companies in the country.
