    Students of TISS bag average annual CTC of Rs 20 lakh

    The 2017–19 batch of the postgraduate course in human resource management and labour relations at theTata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has been offered heavy packages at the Institute’s placements. For the first time, the average and median salaries offered were over Rs 20 lakh. The median and average salaries for the previous batch were only over Rs 18 lakh. The average salary went up by almost seven per cent whereas the median salary increased by more than eight per cent.

    Colgate Palmolive offered the highest annual package of Rs 30.33 lakh.

    More than 30 companies, including new participants, such as Aarti Industries, Dell EMC, Infosys Consulting, Lodha Group, Swiggy, Taj Group, Udaan and Walmart offered jobs to the over 60 students who participated in the placement drive. A total of 22 pre-placement offers were made. Other significant recruiters included Citibank, Maruti Suzuki, Aditya Birla Group, Nestle, GAIL, Airtel, Asian Paints, ITC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Reliance, Accenture, Swiggy, and Dr Reddy’s Labs.
