Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is seeking applications from interested candidates, for about 28 posts of regional inspector (technical). The last date for applying is December 3.
Interested candidates must have passed the High School Examination of the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh or an equivalent examination recognised by the Government. A diploma in automobile engineering (3 years course); or a diploma in mechanical engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education (3 years course); or any qualification in either of the above disciplines declared equivalent, by the Central Government or State Government is a must. Only those between the ages of 21 and 40 may apply. The maximum age limit for those with disabilities is 55.
The examination fee is Rs 225 for candidates belonging to the unreserved/economically-weaker sections/other backward classes. For those belonging to scheduled castes/tribes and former service men, the fee is Rs 105. Those with disabilities will have to pay only the processing fee of Rs 25.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department has also invited applications for three posts of assistant architects. The candidates will be selected for Group-B/Gazetted/Permanent positions and the pay scale will be Rs 15,600- 39,100. One post each has been allotted to unreserved, economically-weaker section and schedules caste. Last date for online application is December 24.
Only those with a bachelor’s degree in architecture or an equivalent degree from a recognised university or institution may apply.
Preference will be given to those who have served the territorial army for a minimum period of two years, or obtained a ‘B’ Certificate of National Cadet Corps. The minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum is 40. Relaxation in upper age limit is permissible as per rule.
