In collaboration with ManpowerGroup, which has been the world’s workforce expert for over 65 years, it organised a joint recruitment drive at its Kolkata central office to provide employment opportunities to its trainees.

Globsyn Skills, a venture of the Globsyn Group, which has edified over 65000 trainees, launched a recruitment drive in Kolkata that saw 125 trainees grabbing jobs on a single day. These jobseekers had undergone skills training at Globsyn Skills, under the aegis of the National Skill Development Corporation. The candidates had been trained in sectors, such as banking, retail and telecom and were ready to join the corporate world as contributors in the country’s growth.

Over 23 companies participated in the joint recruitment drive as a result of ManpowerGroup’s serviced network.

The successful synergy between the two organisations resulted in Globsyn Skills providing the skills and ManpowerGroup working relentlessly to bring to the platform job opportunities from various clients.

Their joint efforts bore fruit with companies, such as Dish TV, City Style, HTC, Samsung, State Bank of India, Airtel, Future Group, Kredent Academy, Skipper, Gati, Gourmont Showroom, IFB, Eureka Forbes and E-Trans Solutions, among others offering placements to the aspiring students.

286 trainees, both graduates and undergraduates, from several districts of West Bengal participated in the drive. Out of these, 125 were shortlisted and are on their way to realising their dreams by landing jobs in globally recognised companies.

Rahul Dasgupta, managing director, Globsyn Skills, was delighted by the positive response from both recruiters and students. He recognised the need to meet the industry’s requirements by training people who are dedicated and motivated.

“The issue of sustainability of skills development in India is closely linked with aspirations. We are happy that the ManpowerGroup has agreed to partner with us in recruiting our skilled trainees. We look forward to placing over 5000 skilled trainees this year from our network,” he said.
