Sebastien Hampartzoumian has relocated to Singapore.

Sebastien Hampartzoumian, senior managing director, Michael Page India, has relocated to Singapore. From now on, he will have the additional responsibilitiy of managing the Singapore office besides the Indian business.

Hampartzoumian, who will report to Anthony Thompson, regional managing director, Greater China and South East Asia, has spent more than 15 years with the group. He will continue to play a pivotal leadership role across these important locations that account for a growing team of 180 employees.

He will also continue to be a key member of the Asia Pacific Board.

In his last appointment, Hampartzoumian successfully developed the business in India and laid a strong foundation for Michael Page’s growth in the country.

Striving to deliver quality, expertise and specialism, he will ensure that the teams in India and Singapore continue to grow their established client base and expand their network of candidates. Sebastien’s move to Singapore is part of PageGroup’s overall plan to bring the greatest possible depth of leadership talent to their ever expanding Asian businesses.

He is one of 37 people who have been transferred across the various offices in Asia Pacific this year.

PageGroup strongly advocates nurturing and growing of its team organically. The firm believes in providing staff with international opportunities, and this is one of the many development programmes available to assist career development within the organisation.

“For more than 20 years, we have concentrated heavily on the development of local teams and management within Asia. We feel proud that approximately 90 per cent of our existing senior management in the region has been developed in this manner,” says Thompson.

“We will continue to adopt this approach that has proved very successful, and support it with the talent and experience of elite leaders, such as Hampartzoumian, who brings with him a proven track record of success in Europe and India. He embraces all of our core values and will be a substantial addition to our Singapore business while continuing to guide the further growth of our business in India,” Thompson adds.

Hampartzoumian holds a diploma in management and economics from the European Business School.
