Through its remote-first policy, Magicpin — a platform operated by Samast Technology — for discovery and savings in offline retail, hopes to encourage willing employees to come to office for the first week of every month.

Throughout the pandemic, employees working from different parts of the country were kept connected formally as well as informally, thanks to the efforts of the Company’s talent team.

The remote-first policy has been very successful at Magicpin, which has been able to operate smoothly following the remote working model.

Working remotely, its workforce managed to not just work seamlessly but also foray into new categories.

In fact, ever since its launch, the Company has functioned on a distributed and flexible workplace model.

Having managed to raise funds to the tune of $60 million in a Series D round in November 2021, Magicpin is an Indian platform for discovery of local retail, with the backing of Waterbridge, Lightspeed, Zomato and other investors.

The Magicpin app shows relevant offers from merchants where points earned from transactions can be made use of to enjoy savings. The platform presently caters to six million active users and has presence in 50 cities, including Jaipur, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune and Chandigarh. It offers savings on almost 1.7 lakh merchants across known brands and local retailers.
