Anushree Singh, who had last served as director – HR, label & graphic materials, South Asia at Avery Dennison from 2017 to 2019, before joining AkzoNobel in July 2019, is now back at Avery Dennison. This time, she has joined as HR director – EMEA, apparel solutions.

An alumna of Indian Institute of Planning and Management, Singh started her HR journey with Standard Chartered Bank as associate manager – HR back in 2005. In 2007, she joined Xerox as deputy manager and had moved up to senior manager level by 2010.

Her next stop was Aircel, where she joined as manager – HR in 2010, to support talent acquisition at a national level.

A year later, she joined Aditya Birla Group’s Pulp & Fibre Business, as assistant general manager – HR. After a successful stint of almost three years, she moved on to Avery Dennison, as HR business partner, commercial and & enabling functions, South Asia, in 2014. By 2017, she had become the director – HR, label & graphic materials, South Asia.

It was in 2019 that she switched to AkzoNobel as country HR head – India Subcontinent. Less than three years later, she was elevated to a global project manager for employer value proposition (EVP) at the multinational that creates paints and performance coatings for consumers worldwide.

In this role, Singh worked closely with AkzoNobel’s executive committee members and global HR leadership team. Her major responsibilities included defining and rolling out an EVP that complemented the Company’s purpose-driven culture and offered a fresh work experience to its high-performing workforce worldwide.

At AkzoNobel, in the last three years, she has driven several key initiatives such as new employee-oriented policies (returnee mother programme, lateral hiring and so on); giving importance to employees and their families’ physical and mental health and wellbeing during a time of uncertainty; increasing diversity and inclusion across all business functions; and ensuring employer branding and employee engagement.

HRKatha wishes her all the best in her second stint at Avery Dennison.
