After being associated with Deloitte India for over 19 years, as partner and chief talent officer, SV Nathan has bid adieu. In his rather emotional post on social media, Nathan admits being “sculpted” by Deloitte, for which he is forever indebted, but also reveals, “The entrepreneur in me comes knocking”.
This alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, began his professional journey with Imperial Chemical Industries or ICI India, as personnel manager, way back in 1983. This was an appointment he got through the campus recruitment drive. Till date he is thankful to the experiences he has had with this British multinational. During his 11-year long tenure there, he successfully lead and handled the human resources and industrial relations issues of the firm in South India.
In 1994, he joined Sterling Holiday Resorts as general manager-HR. Three years later, he moved on to Microland, as vice president-human resources. For three years, he successfully led all matters and initiatives related to people for the firm.
From 1999 to 2001, he lead all aspects of HR at Planetasia (GCI) as chief people officer (CPO).
The year 2002 saw him joining Reliance Infocomm as head-HR, Networks. For the next three years, he was responsible for end-to-end HR services for the Network Division of Reliance Infocomm.
It was in 2005 that he came to be associated with Deloitte India as senior director-HR.

Those who have had the good fortune of working with him have been enlightened by his wisdom and “thoughtful ideology’. Globally recognised as an exceptional coach, mentor, leader, life skills advocate and motivational speaker, this great human being is sure to succeed in all his endeavours. HRKatha takes this opportunity to wish him all the luck.
