Dubai hosted a major career fair on Wednesday, 22 May, with over 28 companies and recruiters from diverse sectors participating to fill more than 100 positions. The event took place at the Times Square Centre from 10a.m. to 2p.m., drawing over 300 jobseekers.
The companies that participated included Kingston Stanley, Tips and Toes, Leader Healthcare, Richmond Capital, Allsopp & Allsopp, Chalhoub Group, Genie Recruitment, Parisima Talent, The Loft 5th Avenue, and DSR Group.
Candidates were recruited for a range of roles in human resources, corporate sector, beauty and wellness, healthcare, clinics, and even the real-estate space. Jobseekers also got a chance to interact directly with recruiters and attend informative workshops.
Dubai has become a hotspot for new professionals and jobseekers from around the world, including those from South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and now increasingly from Europe, drawn by the allure of tax-free salaries.
One of the major events during the fair, ‘Work Smart’, featured not only job opportunities but also offered guidance, coaching, and networking opportunities. During the event, jobseekers gained valuable insights on CV preparation, leveraging social media for job hunting, building confidence, dressing for interviews and career transitioning.
Some of the workshops covered subjects such as interview role play and mindset techniques to enhance job-search strategies.
