UPSC is hiring deputy secretary-level officers

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications from interested candidates for lateral recruitment to fill 13 posts of deputy secretary-level officers.
The online application process for UPSC Recruitment 2021 will conclude on May 3. Candidates may apply only through the official website, www.upsconline.nic.in.

Those selected will serve the Government at the level of deputy secretary, Group ‘A’, across various ministries/departments on contract basis (on deputation for officers of states/UT cadres, public-sector undertakings (PSUs), autonomous bodies, statutory organisations, universities, recognised research institutes) for three years. The tenure may be extended up to five years, based on performance.

The salary will be fixed at the minimum pay level-12 in the pay matrix, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The gross salary will be about Rs 1,19,000, which will include dearness allowance (DA), transport allowance and house rent allowance (HRA) in present level.

The applicants for the post of deputy secretary (intellectual property rights), should possess an LLB degree with specialisation in intellectual property rights (IPR) from a recognised university /institution. A minimum of ten years of experience is preferred, including research and publications, in handling matters related to intellectual property laws.

For the post of deputy secretary (insolvency and bankruptcy code, 2016), chartered accountants (CA)/ company secretaries (CS)/ cost and management accountants (CMA)/ bachelors of law (LLB) /masters in business administration (MBA) from recognised university /institutions may apply.

A minimum of ten years’ experience in banking, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, statutory bodies, and academics is expected.

Scanned files of the documents / certificates on a 200 dpi greyscale will also be acceptable.
