Aasaanjobs, the recruitment marketplace, that focusses on entry-level and grey-collar jobs, is hosting a six-day virtual job fair allowing employers and job seekers from across sectors to meet in a virtual lounge. As per the Job Seekers’ Perspective study undertaken by Aasaanjobs, there is a positive trend in hiring, as those who had returned to their hometowns during the lockdown are now coming back.

Over nine employers from the BFSI, edtech and insurance sectors are willing to recruit suitable job seekers for almost 700 posts. Amongst the big names participating in the job fair are Tata AIA, ICICI, Just Dial, and Jaro Education.

Candidates are able to access a landing page specific to their city from where they can share their personal and professional details, basis which companies can shortlist their profiles. After an initial screening round time slots will be allotted for interviews.

The virtual nature of the fair allows job seekers from across the country to participate, irrespective of their location. Aasaanjobs’ survey reveals that of the 800 job seekers asked, most attach a lot of importance to the reputation of the company while accepting an offer. Almost 80 percent of the respondents admitted to having suffered an adverse effect from the pandemic, but things seem to be looking up.

Most job seekers expect medical insurance for their own selves and their families from the potential employers.

“By leveraging virtual services, such as virtual job fairs, Aasaanjobs continues its work to connect job seekers with employers. As green shoots start to appear across industries and sectors, we’re pleased to be in the forefront of driving efforts that aid in recruitment that benefit both job seekers and companies,” says Tarun Sinha, CEO, Aasaanjobs .
