Mobility company, Ola, and IT services and business platform, Fulcrum Digital have announced their intention to sponsor the vaccination of their employees.
Ola has extended the benefit to its permanent staff as well as all its direct contractual employees, advisors and consultants and their immediate dependents, that is, spouse, children and parents. That means, over 24,000 people will benefit from this drive, which is in addition to the medical insurance policy that the Company offers to its staff.
The Company will be providing infrastructure and logistics support for the vaccination across its offices, globally. It had set up a COVID Action Task Force in 2020 and adopted various precautionary measures to ensure the safety of its employees. It had installed thermal-sensing cameras, AI-based face mask identification, smartphone-based entry and exit system, and had also conducted Smart Sample testing regularly to help control the spread of COVID.
Varun Dubey, spokesperson, Ola, emphasised how Ola prioritises “the health and well-being of not only our employees and their loved ones but also our extended family who work directly with us including advisors and consultants. While this vaccine is voluntary, it is also one of the most effective tools to fight against COVID-19.”
Fulcrum Digital, the IT services and business platform company, that offers integrated suite of enterprise-grade software products, services and solutions, has also announced its intention to sponsor the cost of vaccinations for all its employees, globally, including India.
Bensely Zachariah, global head of human resources, Fulcrum Digital, said this is a step towards “
“improving the physical and mental health of its employees”, which is the top priority this “employee-centric” company. The Company has already communicated the same to its staff and plans to “strongly support and encourage vaccination among the employees as per the guidelines provided by the Government of India.”
Fulcrum Digital has a 1000-strong workforce across offices in Europe, India, the US and Latin America.
