Pleased with the performance of the Company, the managing director of Xiaomi India announced that its employees will be gifted Mi TVs. To mark the success, the Company will also be offering heavy discounts on its Mi TVs.
The Chinese electronic company is reported to be doing very well in the Indian smartphone market. According to a Counterpoint Research report, the overall mobile phone shipments in India grew by 11 per cent whereas smartphone shipments grew 10 per cent. India was also the fastest-growing smartphone market last year, with an annual growth rate of 10 per cent. Xiaomi gained extraordinary market share and reported its highest ever shipments in India, in 2018.
Sharing the success with its employees, the Company is gifting more than 500 televisions to its staff. The Mi TV 4A 43-inch TV being gifted currently costs over Rs 22,000. It comes with Ultra-bright LED display, 20W stereo speakers, more than 700,000 hours of content on PatchWall, and Bluetooth remote voice control. It is powered by 64-bit quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB Storage. It also comes with a 12-button remote.
