The programme was launched in 2014 in 11 premier B-Schools to engage with young minds and raise awareness about the brand.

In a bid to reach out to young talent and help them associate with the brand, Titan, the world’s fifth largest watch manufacturer recently held the grand finale of its third Titan Elevate programme, at Royal Orchid, Bangalore. This distinctive and thought-provoking programme for young and promising individuals welcomed over 1300 participants this year.

The victors at the Titan Elevate 2016 were Pragya Mehra and Priyansha Jain from MICA- Ahmedabad, who were national winners, and Radha Raman from XLRI-Jamshedpur, who was the runner up.

The programme was launched in 2014 amongst 11 premier B-Schools in the country with an objective to engage with young minds and raise awareness about Titan Company Limited and what they stand for. After the success of the first two seasons, Titan realised the programme must go beyond just providing the students with a case challenge to work on. The third season of Titan Elevate revolved around experiences, where students shared their personal stories on a theme that resonated with what Titan stands for — ‘Restless, Responsible and Respected’.

Students submitted the stories that echoed this theme, and three students from each campus were selected for the next round, which was a case study challenge. The teams travelled to Bangalore to participate in the grand finale in the presence of Bhaskar Bhat, managing director, Titan; and Raj Narayan, senior vice president & chief human resources officer, Titan.

Sharing his thoughts on this year’s edition, Bhat said, “Titan Elevate was conceived as an ideal platform to engage and empower young creative minds of the premier B-school institutes across the country. We at Titan, believe that the youth of today continue to showcase and exhibit excellence in all fields. Thus, with Titan Elevate, we want individuals to exceed expectations and participate in the spirit of competition, which personifies the next level of excellence.”

Talking about season three of Titan Elevate, Narayan said, “With the success of the previous editions of Titan Elevate, this year’s contest also focussed on providing the students with an experience that would shape them as professionals and as individuals. The analyses and insights given by the groups were well researched and articulated. The enthusiastic participation and the quality of the output are very encouraging and we are sure that Titan Elevate will grow into a strong partnership between management schools and Titan in the future.”

The company says that the response to Titan Elevate has been phenomenal. The theme of Titan — ‘Restless, Responsible and Respected’, has resonated with the students on campus and they have been able to connect with Titan in more ways than one.
