    Obituary: Sebastian PV is no more

    The founder of Sage solutions had been suffering from cancer.

    Sebastian PV, the founder of Sage Solutions and the former CHRO of Bharti Infratel passed away on the night of August 19, 2018. He had been suffering from cancer for the last one year.

    Sebi, as he was popularly known, was an accomplished HR professional with more than 30 years of experience in HR leadership positions.

    For 16 years, he worked with the American Express Bank, followed by four years at Bharti and then eight years as an entrepreneur and founder of Sage Solutions.

    He had a strong acumen both in operational and strategic HR.

    As director-HR Japan, Asia, Pacific, Australia (JAPA), American Express, Sebi implemented best-in-class HR processes and programmes in more than 16 countries.

    At the Bharti Group, in his capacity as senior vice president-HR, he had contributed to setting up HR for Bharti’s emerging businesses, best-in-class process improvements and cost-effective HR interventions, for a high level of employee engagement and productivity enhancement.

    Prior to Amex and Airtel, Sebi had also worked with small-scale units, marketing & trading companies, manufacturing setups, and so on.

    He was a permanent member of the Amex Global Employee Relations Council.

    An alumnus of INSEAD Singapore, Sebi was associated with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), National HRD Network (NHRD) and other industrial bodies / associations.
