Amanda Rajkumar  has made the decision to step down from her role as the executive board member and labour director of Adidas AG. As the executive board member responsible for global human resources, people, and culture, Rajkumar has played a crucial role in shaping and driving the company’s workforce strategy. However, she has decided not to extend her executive board position beyond December 31, 2023.

Chairman of the supervisory board of Adidas AG, Thomas Rabe, expressed his appreciation for Rajkumar’s exceptional contributions during her tenure. Under her leadership, the company has made significant progress in fostering a culture of inclusion and strengthening leadership accountability. Rabe commended Rajkumar for her commitment to putting people at the centre of her work, ensuring that Adidas consistently ranks highly in employer rankings worldwide. This achievement is particularly noteworthy considering the transitional period the company is undergoing.

Rajkumar brought with her an impressive background, accumulating 28 years of experience in human resources within global organisations before joining the Adidas board as the head of global human resources, people, and culture at the beginning of 2021. During her time at Adidas, Rajkumar has been a driving force behind numerous accomplishments and advancements within the company. Rajkumar expressed pride in the achievements made during her tenure and extended her best wishes to CEO, Bjørn, the board, and most importantly her team, as they continue to successfully transform the iconic company.

To ensure a smooth transition, Michelle Robertson, senior VP of workplaces & global functions at Adidas, will assume the responsibilities for global human resources, people, and culture on an interim basis.
