Landmark Group, the retail and hospitality conglomerate, has roped in Deepak Ramakrishnan for the role of general manager(GM), human resources.
Ramakrishnan, an alumnus of Madras School of Social Work and an Aon Hewitt Certified Human Resources Professional, began his career as part of the HR team at Tata Consultancy Services, in 2007. This role saw him working out of Chennai for one year. He then worked as a recruitment consultant with a firm for two years before joining Cognizant Technology Solutions in 2010, as human resources-talent management and campus recruitment. For the next four years and eight months, he played HRBP for Cognizant Business Consulting and campus recruitment lead – West India. His respomsibilities required him to work out of Pune and Chennai.
His next stop was Amway, where he joined as regional human resources manager in 2014. Based out of Bengaluru, he worked closely with business heads to ensure the right HR strategy on ground, and was part of the Regional Executive Council for South India.
January of 2019 saw him joining AJIO.com as AGM-HR (Reliance Retail). During his three-year long tenure, he successfully defined the performance management and compensation philosophy. Among other responsibilities, he set up HR processes, created incentive policy benchmarks and reviewed policies to make the organisation competitive in attracting the best talent from the market
From April 2022, he was associated with C-Square Info Solutions, heading the HR for this niche pharma tech company.
In his new assignment at Landmark Group, Deepak Ramakrishnan will lead the HR focus for corporate and regional office teams for Max Fashions. HRKatha wishes him all the best!
