Krishna Raghavan, chief people officer, Flipkart, has decided to part ways with the e-commerce company after a long and successful two-time stint. The news comes amid the annual festive sales of the e-commerce giant.
Raghavan’s association with Flipkart began in 2012, when he joined the company as its vice president. He was responsible for engineering and product for the Group’s services— ekart, FSE and Jeeves— with the aim to transform the Group’s consumer experiences through investments in the next generation of platforms and capabilities.
After over four years in this role, in August 2016, he moved to Cleartrip as its chief technology officer.
At Cleartrip, Raghavan led the entire technology team, across the product portfolios of travel, experiences and accommodation. After a short stint with Cleartrip, Raghavan returned to Flipkart in August 2017.
In March 2020, he was promoted to the position of chief people officer at the e-commerce company, focusing on customising sustainable people practices, fostering a development-centric and inclusive organisation.
Prior to joining Flipkart, Raghavan worked with many big companies such as Yahoo, Oracle, Ebazaar and Vendio. His background encompasses a wide range of skills, including e-commerce applications, SaaS delivery models, leadership and management in engineering, launching and overseeing product startups, integrating enterprise solutions, and managing high-availability product operations around the clock.
A mathematics evangelist, Raghavan received a distinction with his BSc degree from St. Xavier’s College. In addition, he also completed a dual degree programme in mathematics and computer science from Denison University.
