HR-tech consulting firm, HappyPlus Consulting, has appointed Vimal Kumar as director, strategic communication and brand, and Subramaniam Krishnan (Subbu) as head – business development and marketing.

Vimal Kumar, was earlier the sports editor at Network 18 Group. In fact, he has been with the Group for the last one and a half decade. At the beginning of 2020, Kumar left his position as sports editor to pursue his passion of motivating youngsters through sports stories and examples.

Wanting to be associated with the two key words, happiness and positivity, he had co-founded the inspirational talk show/event startup http://seetalks.in/. Kumar also delivers sessions on branding/advertising/management/leadership lessons from sports, at prestigious institutions, such as IIM-Indore and CII. He has regularly written columns, articles and features for reputed media platforms, including Mint, moneycontrol.com and Mid-Day.

Subramaniam Krishnan, or Subbu as he is known, is backed by over two decades of experience. He will be responsible for the business development and marketing function. Recently, he helped Apex CoVantage establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in the programmatic marketing space. Before that, he was general manager (business development and marketing) of Amnet Systems. Krishnan has also been leading a marketing and business strategy consulting firm, Two Cents Consulting, for the past three years. Here, he handles due diligence of companies for M&A activities and also advises firms on their business strategy.

Ashish Ambasta, founder and chief happiness officer, HappyPlus Consulting, feels confident that with the addition of Kumar and Krishnan, the leadership team will be strengthened. Despite being less than a year old, the Company is already working with big names and many investors have shown interest in it. “The addition of top talent in the leadership team only means we’re getting bigger and stronger,” asserts Ambasta.

HappyPlus Consulting leverages AI and ML to connect and build the employer-employee relationship, which can together achieve organisational happiness. It is probably the first HR tech organisation in India, to bring the concept and importance of ‘Happiness Habit Development’ through scientifically designed tracks and ‘one-touch’ technology solution.
