Michelle Robertson, serving as the global head-human resources, Adidas, has now been appointed as the esteemed member of the company’s board. Her position on the board will be effective from 1 January, 2024, leading the global HR functions.
Since July 2023, Robertson has already been leading global HR at Adidas on an interim basis, while reporting to the company’s chief executive, Bjørn Gulden.
She joined the company in the year 2012 as its director-human resources. Within her successful tenure of over 18 years at the company, she held various leadership roles.
Robertson started her career with Reebok, where she joined as head-HR in the year 2007. She was then elevated to the role of general manager-human resources at the company after two years, in the year 2010.
Welcoming her, Thomas Rabe, chairman, supervisory board, Adidas, emphasised the significance of reinstating the crucial human resources function at the board level. He also highlighted that Robertson’s deep expertise in HR, genuine concern for individuals, and dedication will contribute to enhancing Adidas’ standing as a top global employer.
An alumna of the University of Central Lancashire, Robertson holds a graduate degree from The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), human resources.
