After a decade with Kirloskar Brothers, Ravi Sinha has been appointed chief human resources officer (CHRO) at Philips Carbon Black (PCBL).
An alumnus of Xavier Institute of Social Sciences, Sinha began his professional journey with Usha Martin Industries as senior executive, in 1995. Four years later, he moved to Telco Construction Equipment Co. as assistant manager – HR and admin.
In September 2003, he moved to Gujarat Gas Company as manager – HR. A year later, he switched to Wrigley India as head – HR (supply chain – India). This stint lasted almost four years.
The year 2011 saw him take up the role of vice president – HR, at Praj Industries, Pune.
By 2013, he moved again, joining Kirloskar Brothers for what was probably the longest stint of his career. His last held position at the company was that of vice president and head – corporate human resource management and communications.
His latest assignment at PCBL will see him relocating to Kolkata, West Bengal.
A charismatic leader, he is known for his ability to manage formal and informal associations, employee relations being his specialty.
A part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, PCBL was established way back in 1960 and celebrated its diamond jubilee in 2020. Amongst the biggest carbon black manufacturer in India, PCBL caters to customers in over 45 countries.
Sinha’s honesty, time-management skills and capacity to mentor will definitely prove to be an asset in his new role at PCBL. HRKatha wishes him all the best.
