Stanley Black & Decker has appointed Debashish Chatterjee as VP-HR. In his new role, Chatterjee will be responsible for leading the HR and people function for the Company, which is into manufacturing of industrial tools and household hardware. With more than 18 years of experience in HR, Chatterjee who completed his MBA in HR from the Xavier Institute of Social Service, started his corporate journey in 2003 with HCL technologies, where he as a management trainee – HR.
After spending a year at HCL, Chatterjee moved to Honeywell as an executive – HR. Within seven years, with multiple promotions pushing him, he was able to climb up the corporate ladder there. He worked in various roles in the HR domain at Honeywell, such as HRBP and compensation & benefits. Chatterjee’s last role at Honeywell was that of director – HR.
In 2011, Chatterjee joined Bombardier Transportations as a director – HR for Asia region and moved to Singapore. At Bombardier as well, Chatterjee was able to see rapid growth in his career. Within five and a half years of joining, he became director- HR for EMEA region. In between, he also took on the additional role of organisational effectiveness partner for Asia, for one and half years at.
In 2017, Chatterjee joined SPX FLOW, a manufacturing and industrial engineering solutions company. He joined the company as a VP-HR &head – HR for Asia Pacific. In this role, he was also given the responsibility to head the global compensation and benefits for SPX FLOW.
With a range of experience in global markets, this commerce graduate from the University of Calcutta, has worked in multiple industries, including IT, aerospace &aviation, manufacturing and engineering solutions and now manufacturing of industrial tools too.
