With a career spanning over almost three decades in the field of HR, Bector expressed his excitement about the opportunities that lie ahead for all of Welspun World’s businesses. Each of these businesses is currently on a fast-paced growth trajectory, and he is enthusiastic about embarking on this new journey as the GCHRO.

He further added, “Working in collaboration with the team, I look forward to contributing to the profitable growth of each of our businesses by promoting a culture of innovation, diversity and employee engagement. Our goal is to create a brighter future for our employees and the communities we serve.”

Prior to joining Welspun World, Bector served as the president and group CHRO, Piramal Group, where he played a pivotal role in shaping an award-winning high-performance culture.

His career began in 1996, when he started as a trainer at NIS Sparta, a division of NIIT. He then transitioned to Canon India, where he initially served as a training and development manager.

Subsequently, he advanced to the role of training and development manager, Max Healthcare. In 2001, he joined Gyanodaya, part of the Aditya Birla Group, initially as general manager and later progressed to the position of assistant vice president, where he dedicated three years of his career. He then moved to Birla Sunlife AMC, another division of the Aditya Birla Group, where he worked in human resources and administration before making the transition to Deloitte.

His professional journey included significant roles at Tata Motors, where he held the positions of chief learning officer and vice president of talent development. He also gained experience at Deloitte during a two-year tenure. He also worked as CTO, Reliance Industries for one year and six months and then joined Cipla as CTO and head corporate HR.
