The Company will hire from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad along with Google and Microsoft.

For the first time ever, technology company, Apple, will be campus hiring from India. The chosen institute is, the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad.

The institute’s campus hiring process will be held in December and Apple has agreed to participate in this. Over 300 students from varied streams, such as BTech and MTech, have enrolled for the placement session.

TV Devi Prasad, head of placements at IIITH, confirmed to TOI, Apple’s presence at the campus placements this year, although he wasn’t sure of the kind of profiles that the Company was ready to offer.

Apart from Apple, Microsoft and Google will also take part in this campus recruitment drive. Tech companies hire talent for new technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), automation and deep learning from IIITH.

According to Prasad, a majority of companies offer jobs in the product development and research and development areas.

The India page for Apple shows three job openings in the country, posted in November. One is for a senior engineering operations manager for the Bengaluru office, the second is for a project manager in Gurgaon, Haryana and the third is for a software manager, for the Apple online store, for the Bengaluru facility.

“The requirement for hardware engineers is high this year, with many companies looking forward to hiring students with knowledge in application-specific integrated circuit and design verification. There is also a high demand for students who have knowledge of 2D-3D graphics in mobile communication,” she added.
