    Becton Dickinson appoints Anant Garg as CHRO

    Becton Dickinson (BD), the medical technology company with a global presence, has appointed Anant Garg as director HR, India and South Asia. He will be responsible for leading the HR function for the Company in India and some other parts of South Asia.

    Prior to this role, Garg was the director HR at Eli Lilly.

    With over a decade of experience, Garg served the longest stint of his career at Eli Lilly, where he worked for more that eight years in various HR functions, and rapidly climbed the ladder of success. He first joined the American pharmaceutical company in 2011, as the associate director-HRBP. He was the HR business partner for sales and corporate, with additional responsibility of looking after performance and total rewards. Within a span of about seven years, he rose to the position of director, human resources, India.

    On completing his MBA in human resources from XLRI, Garg joined Accenture as a senior analyst in 2004, and worked there for close to two years.

    After that, he moved on to Mercer, the human resource consulting firm, in 2005 and worked there as a senior consultant. There, he led large and complex HR consulting assignments across domains and industries.

    Garg is passionate about developing leaders, driving innovation and delivering business results through people strategy.

    An engineering graduate from the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Garg is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt professional.
