Staff of Rajasthan cooperative banks to get double salary

Employees of Rajasthan State Cooperative Bank and District Central Cooperative Bank in the state have reason to celebrate at a time when most professionals are facing pay-cuts and job threats amidst the pandemic. The officers and employees of these banks will be getting double salary with effect from July, 2020.

An official notification has been issued regarding the hike in fixed salary. This increment will benefit all the employees and officers who have been directly recruited. It will also benefit the staff on probation.

The increment will be given to all senior managers, managers, banking assistants and Class 4-category staff.

As per the revisions, a senior manager who was earlier drawing Rs 22,180 will now earn Rs 30,680. A bank manager who was earlier earning Rs 14,660 will now take home Rs 23,860. Banking assistants will enjoy a hike in salary to Rs 11,950 from the earlier Rs 8,910. The employees belonging to Class 4 category will also earn Rs 10,640 now, which is way more than the Rs 4,850 they were earlier earning.

These increments were apparently announced by the Rajasthan Govt on “compassionate grounds”.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the country, the Jammu and Kashmir Bank has held back the salary for the month of June, for 2800 employees. The affected employees are those whose names figure in the investigations that are going on pertaining to fraudulent appointments. The case is being looked into by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
