INOX Leisure, the Indian multiplex chain, and Soroco, the machine learning startup, have kept the wellbeing of their employees on top priority.

Besides free vaccination for all the employees, INOX’s programme called ‘Wellness Matters’, also includes free doctor-on-call service, pharmacy and pathology services at discounted rates, anti-microbial home disinfection facility at competitive rates and workshops on mental and emotional wellness, among other initiatives.

Arun Bhatia, chief human resource officer, INOX Leisure, said, “The rollout of Wellness Matters is an outcome of our 360-degree commitment towards enabling and strengthening our employees to see through these difficult times.” As part of this programme, all INOX employees and their dependents will be vaccinated free of cost. The free 24×7 ‘doctor on call service’ helps employees and their families connect with a doctor at any time of the day or night for consultation on a range of health-related matters. Employees can avail services such as health- risk assessment and personalised diet plans. INOX employees and their dependents can avail doorstep pathology services, such as RT-PCR, antigen and other medical tests. These services will also be availed through the online pharmacy service provider.

Discounted anti-microbial home disinfection allows antimicrobial surface coating with Bacti Barrier Surface Protector Service for residencs as well as two- and four-wheeler vehicles at a highly subsidised rate. In addition to all these facilities, INOX has been regularly conducting mental wellness workshops and sessions for all its employees and their family members on topics, such as rejuvenation, mindful listening and retention, balanced lifestyle, anger management, fear and stress, as well as empathy and compassion.

Meanwhile, Soroco, the young and fast-growing data and machine-learning company, is also doing its bit to support its employees during these challenging times. Its comprehensive health and wellness programme ensures that its employees have convenient access to vaccines, are equipped to deal with changing work routines, loneliness, and other difficulties that come with remote working.

“We successfully concluded the vaccination drive for our employees, support staff and their families, and have created a holistic and robust programme for a better work-life balance for all our employees,” revealed Samson David, CEO, Soroco India.

Recognising the triggers that could cause stress and add to the work-life pressures during such difficult times, Soroco has curated a well-being programme that includes wellness, recreational, and hobby classes to help employees

Coping with the loss of loved ones can be overwhelming for employees. Aware that employees need tremendous support to navigate personal loss, Soroco has tied up with Heart it Out to provide therapy and counseling assistance to help staff deal with unprecedented levels of grief, trauma and anxiety.

Soroco has declared alternating Fridays as ‘No Meeting Day’ to encourage employees to have a relaxed and stress-free day and weekend ahead.

To provide relief to parents reeling under the ongoing pressure of balancing home and work, Soroco has introduced hobby classes for employees’ kids. In order to encourage the traditional reading habit among kids who may spend hours glued to their gadgets, Soroco has introduced the ‘Raising Readers’ initiative, where kids receive books autographed by renowned author, Sudha Murty. Soroco regularly organises yoga and meditation for its employees and their families. Hobby classes, such as mobile photography with renowned photographer Jude Gabriel, are also a huge draw for its employees.
