IQVIA has elevated Roy Rohan Richard to director-talent acquisition. He has been with the company that provides clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries for over 11 years now.
This alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur began his professional journey as a territory manager with ThoughtBerry Technologies in 2009. He was associated with Accenture as an HR analyst from 2010 to 2015. Based out of Bangalore, he played HR business partner for Accenture with his primary responsibility being to understand the business needs and make strategies to enhance satisfaction and performance of employees, along with other generalist activities. Additionally, he coached line managers and career counsellors to enhance their ability to develop and guide employees, improving their effectiveness in handling people matters. He also developed succession plans for all supervisors and critical roles. Among other responsibilities, he managed involuntary departures, determined severance packages, presented business cases to approving parties, communicated decisions, and facilitated resolution of departures.
It was in May of 2015 that his relationship with IQVIA began, as a human resources business partner. Over five years into this role, he was promoted to associate director-talent acquisition, in October of 2020.
Richard’s social-media post highlights how this promotion is “a reminder of the responsibility that comes with leadership”. He is keen to continue his work of “cultivating great talent, empowering teams, and making a positive impact on the people and businesses we serve”.
