Atain has elevated Shreya Shrivastava to senior vice president – human resources for India, expanding her leadership responsibilities as the company continues its HR transformation.

Shrivastava assumed the role in October 2026, having joined Atain in July 2024 as vice president – HR. In her new position, she will lead the company’s human resources function in India, building on her work in people experience, workplace culture and HR transformation initiatives.

She brings over two decades of experience in talent strategy, development and HR operations, with a background spanning technology service, outsourcing and consulting. Her expertise includes advising senior leadership teams on people strategies aligned with business objectives, leading HR functions across multiple regions and managing people priorities in complex, matrixed organisations.

Before joining Atain, Shrivastava spent 17 years at Cognizant, where she held several regional and country-level HR leadership roles. Her last position was head of HR for Cognizant Consulting, EMEA, which she held from 2021 to 2022. In this role, she led the HR function for the consulting business across 10 markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific, partnering with regional leadership on talent strategies and organisational restructuring.

Earlier, she served as senior HR business partner for EMEA, leading talent management initiatives across five business units and working with senior leaders on succession planning, organisational restructuring, workforce optimisation and HR systems implementation.

Her other responsibilities at Cognizant included country HR manager for South Europe and Poland, the Nordics, and Germany and the Czech Republic. Across these assignments, she was involved in setting up HR functions in multiple European markets, establishing people processes, supporting business expansion and managing workforce transitions.

She began her career with Tata Motors as a trainee in November 2004 before joining Cognizant in 2005.

Shrivastava’s experience also includes building HR teams and functions across geographies, supporting large-scale workforce growth and driving initiatives around inclusion, leadership development and employee experience.
