The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is offering internship opportunity for financial content writers. It will offer a stipend of Rs 45,000 per month to the interns, or Rs 35,000 per month if they avail of company accommodation. However, the accommodations will only be provided based on availability.

Indian citizens up to the age of 30 (as on March 31, 2021), possessing a postgraduate or equivalent degree in economics, finance or business, with an aggregate score of 60 per cent or equivalent cumulative grade points average (CGPA) may apply. The applicants should have published articles on securities market, economics, business, or finance in reputed periodicals in the last five years.

Those interested in this year-long internship programme should apply by October 30. Those selected will be posted at the Department of Economic and Policy Analysis (DEPA) of SEBI, at Mumbai. They will create content for the Web-based ‘Virtual Museum of Indian Securities Market’.

The interns will be expected to write research-based original content, which will also add to their knowledge of the securities market. They will get a chance to hone their content-writing skills, while working on live projects.

The applicants may have to appear for preliminary rounds of virtual interviews before being summoned for a personal interview.

Interns will not be allowed to quit the programme midway without a month’s notice. If they do so, they will need to pay a month’s stipend to SEBI.
