    Tata Coffee’s Sudhansu Misra is now CHRO for Croma

    Sudhansu Misra, who was leading the HR function for Tata Coffee as its CHRO for over three years, has now taken charge as the CHRO at Infinity Retail, Croma.

    At Tata Coffee, Misra was leading the people function and was heading the business excellence, ethics and sustainability functions in the company.

    With over two decades of experience in HR, Misra was working as the senior GM, corporate HR (talent management, leadership development, L&D) at Tata Motors, before joining Tata Coffee.

    At Tata Motors, he led the Company’s efforts in talent sustainability by identification, development and placement of high potentials, and managed the succession planning process for the top leadership level.

    Misra has worked in many sectors, such as travel and tourism, steel, aircraft manufacturing, computer hardware, automotive and information technology (IT).

    He has also worked with big names, such as Mahindra and IBM.

    Misra’s long association with the Tata Group began when he joined Tata Autocomp as a deputy GM, OD and talent management, entrusted with the responsibility of talent management, leadership development, performance management, competency framework and succession planning.

    After working there for four years, he moved to IBM as HR head, for the domestic business in IBM Global Technology Services (GTS), India and South Asia. The role required him to focus on partnering with business at the strategic level, in areas of workforce management, development, and productivity in order to optimise the workforce for the GTS business.

    Having completed a five-year stint with IBM, Misra joined Tata Motors as GM- talent management and leadership development, and rose up the ladder of success.

    With a master’s degree in HR from Nagpur University, Misra also holds a BSc degree in mathematics.
