Richard Lobo, executive vice president, Infosys, has stepped down from his position in another notable departure from the IT Company. The company confirmed the news in an official filing, stating the senior personnel departure.

Lobo  previously led the HR division of Infosys as its head-HR and was reassigned to a team handling special projects led by CEO Salil Parekh. After his reassignment, Sushanth Tharappan took over the role of HR head last month.

Having spent approximately 23 years at Infosys, Lobo is a seasoned professional within the company’s ranks. His association with the organisation dates back to the year 2000, where he held the role of HR head from 2015 to 2023.

In a letter addressed to the CEO, Lobo communicated his decision to depart from the company. He also expressed his appreciation for the chances and insights that he gained throughout his long tenure.

In the filing, the management also expressed their profound gratitude for his dedicated service and significant contributions during his tenure. His association with the company is set to conclude on August 31, 2023.

Lobo’s exit from the firm aligns with the ongoing pattern of prominent departures from Infosys and other major Indian IT enterprises. For instance, recently, Charles Salameh, global head-account expansion, Infosys, resigned to assume the position of CEO at Sangoma Technologies Corporation.

Preceding this, Vishal Salvi, who held the dual roles of global chief information security officer and business head at Infosys, departed from the IT Company to take on the CEO role at Quick Heal. Moreover, Mohit Joshi, former president, Infosys, assumed the position of CEO designate at Tech Mahindra. Similarly, Ravi Kumar S, also a former president at the prominent IT Company, has transitioned into the role of CEO at Cognizant.
