Capgemini, the global professional services and IT consulting firm, has announced its ambitious recruitment plans for India for FY2025. Commencing from April 2024, this initiative underscores the company’s confidence in the Indian market and its commitment to harnessing the country’s vast pool of skilled talent.

This hiring agenda for FY25 is aligned with macroeconomic uncertainties. Currently boasting an existing workforce of 1,75,000 employees, the company reaffirms its dedication to nurturing India’s talent reservoir, thereby fostering growth and resilience within the IT domain.

Capgemini’s hiring strategy for FY25 encompasses a diverse range of roles tailored to meet the evolving demands of the knowledge economy. While specific positions have not been delineated, there is an expected surge in roles requiring expertise in user experience and user interface (UI/UX), data science and cybersecurity.

In terms of job locations, Capgemini is expanding its workforce across various cities in India, with a focus on key hubs such as Bengaluru, Noida, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Pune. Embracing a hybrid work model, the company also advocates for employees to work in office at least two days a week.

For individuals interested in exploring lateral and fresher job opportunities at Capgemini in India, the company encourages visits to its Career Page or LinkedIn Page.

Last month, it was reported that a majority of the firm’s funds set aside for artificial intelligence (AI) will be invested in India. The firm, which has its headquarters in Paris, reportedly plans to invest €2 billion on AI spread over three years, with most of it invested in India.

Furthermore, it expects to see its AI and analytics teams expanding to double the present size of 30,000 by 2027, as reported by Business Standard.
