    The Central University of Punjab is hiring for teaching and non-teaching positions. It is looking for professors, assistant professors and associate professors, as well as librarian, deputy librarian, assistant librarian and medical officer.

    Those interested should apply before 29 May.

    The entry pay for professors would be Rs 1,44,200, for associate professors it would be Rs 1,31,400, and for assistant professors the same would be Rs 57,700, as per the Academic Pay Level 14 of the 7th Pay Commission.

    The right candidates will be selected based on UGC regulations.

    Opportunities exist in the automation and digitalisation space too, as ACI Infotech is gearing to hire about 1,400 people across the country. The global tech firm, which delivers next-generation digital services and tech solutions, is looking for talent in the areas of advanced analytis, intelligent automation, artificial intelligence (AI) , machine learning (ML), multi-cloud on Azure, AWS and Google cloud, cyber security, hybrid cloud, SAP and so on. This hiring is part of the Company’s expansion plans.

    The Company will set up 25 new global delivery centres as well as seven innovation centres all over India. Its centres in Hyderabad and Bangalore will focus on research and development, product engineering, client innovation and so on.

    It will look at Tier 2 cities for talent and also to set up training centres.

    The banking sector also has jobs to offer, with Punjab National Bank announcing about 145 vacancies. There are 445 posts for manager – risk, 100 for manager –credit and five for senior manager. The candidates will be selected basis online test followed by interview. The upper age limit is 35, while the lower age limit is 25, as on 1 January, 2022.

    Meanwhile National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has notified vacancies for executive positions in data analysis, land acquisition/rehabilitation, resettlement and solar PV units. The salaries range between Rs 90,000 to Rs 1 lakh per month. The details are available on the official website, careers.ntpc.co.in.

    Last date for applying is 13 May, 2022.

    India Post is also inviting applications for over 38,000 vacancies, including that of branch post master, assistant branch post master, and dak sevaks under Gramin Dak Sevaks recruitment. The interested candidates should be at least 18 years of age and not more than 40.
