In an effort to financially support the Telangana workers, the government has handed out official job offers to 1560 ASHA (accredited social health activists)  employees. The employees who were newly recruited in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal districts under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) received the letters.

In addition to the appointment letters, the government has also announced various benefits for the ASHA workers.

Now all the ASHA workers will be receiving a sum of Rs 50,000 for their training as healthcare professionals. Additionally, if they require any medical assistance, it will be complimentary for them.

Furthermore, the government has also announced salary raise for the ASHA workers in Telangana. According to the decision, all the 27,000 ASHA workers will get a hike in their pay. Moreover, the government has also made the decision to cover the cell phone expenses of these workers starting from July.

For better medical and healthcare facilities, the government has revealed intentions to establish three additional hospitals. These hospitals will be specifically dedicated to providing healthcare services for pregnant women. The government has also announced the upcoming inauguration of a high-level specialised MCH (Maternal and Child Health) hospital  at the Gandhi Hospital campus within a week.
