The Alumni Association of Xavier Institute of Social Service (AAXISS), Mumbai Chapter, which is known as the most active and biggest alumni association of XISS, Ranchi, is organising the 16th Mumbai Chapter reunion on 15 October, 2022 in Mumbai.

The meet expects to host over 200 alumni from more than 66 batches of XISS, including HR leaders from various companies across industries. A large pool of successful entrepreneurs and XISS’ most respected faculty fraternity along with current students will also be present.

This reunion will offer an opportunity to students of previous batches to come and interact with their old friends some of whom may not have met for a long time. It will also allow batchmates to relive their good old college days and times.

Additionally, the current batch will be able to learn from their seniors and use the event as a ground to network.

“The Alumni Reunion is a great way to relive the past by remembering good old days and by getting nostalgic with class mates, seniors , juniors and our Alma Mater,” shares Arjun Singh, secretary, AXISS Mumbai Chapter & VP – corporate HR, CEAT.

Amidst the pandemic, the Alumni Association had found it difficult to hold the reunion. Therefore, this reunion, which is happening after a break of two years is eagerly awaited.

“We would like to regain the momentum and try and cover what we missed over the last two years, starting with this reunion,” says Singh.

Apart from networking, interacting and reuniting with old friends, CHROs and business leaders from across sectors will also gather to discuss the current HR challenges in the industry. They will share their experiences of pandemic management, and provide perspective and guidance to the current batch of visiting students from the campus.

The Alumni Association of XISS, Delhi Chapter will also open a Pandora’s box full of fun, excitement and grandeur on the evening of 15 October, 2022, as it organises the Alumni Meet 2022.

The event, at The Park, Connaught Place, New Delhi, is powered by Bird Automotive (BMW) and Akrivia HCM. The title sponsors of the meet include big names such as Refyne, UFLEX, Zephyr, Simply HR, Intellsearch and SDS.

The gathering will be graced by the presence of amazing XISS alumni from across industries, students of the current second-year batch of XISS as well as the respected faculty members including Fr. Joseph Marianus Kujur, director, XISS; Prof. Amar Tigga, dean academics, XISS; Prof. S.R. Shauq, HOD- HRM (retired),XISS; and Prof. M.H. Ansari, HOD- rural management (retired), XISS.

The event will consist of two segments.

The first will be the students’ session, which will cover the current industrial scenarios, such as moonlighting and its impacts, as well as industrial tips and tricks to ready the budding managers from XISS for the corporate world. The session invites the presence of notable alumni from the four-decade period of 1980-2010 — Ratan Agarwal (batch 1989), Sanjay Bose(batch 1990), Ashish Bharadwaj (batch 2002) and Abhinav Mishra (batch 2012)

The second segment will comprise formal felicitations along with meet-and-greet sessions with participation from XISS’ director, faculty, students and alumni.

Another highlight will be an insightful session by the special guest, Sanjeeva Kumar Singh, who is the winner of the Arjuna Award as well as the Dronacharya Award for archery.

In addition to offering opportunities for networking, the insightful evening will be filled with fun, laughter, games and nostalgia. Most importantly, it will see XISS alumni reliving the memories of their time together as students, albeit for just one beautiful evening.
