The Andhra Pradesh government has given a boost to the morale of its workers by increasing the house rent allowance (HRA) for employees working in the administrative centres of newly established districts. This decision is expected to provide financial support to government employees and encourage them to work harder for the growth of the state.
The government’s decision to hike HRA from 12 percent to 16 percent is a welcome move for government employees working in district offices in Parvathipuram, Paderu, Amalapuram, Bapatla, Rajahmundry, Bhimavaram, Narasaraopeta, Puttaparthi, and Rayachoti. It will help them cope with the high cost of living, especially in the new districts and revenue divisions.
The decision to increase HRA was made following the direction of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, who has always shown concern for the welfare of government employees. The GO MS:69 was issued by Shamshersingh Rawat, special chief secretary for finance, in compliance with the chief minister’s instructions.
The Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to improve the HRA for the new district headquarters is a clear indication of its commitment to the welfare of its employees and recognition of their hard work. The order takes effect on June 1, and it is expected to provide much-needed relief to government employees working in the new AP districts’ administrative centres.
