The founder of Paytm, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, has tweeted that Paytm allows remote working for certain roles and has urged people to check out the careers page at Paytm for more opportunities.

“We at Paytm allow you to work from home/anywhere for product, tech and business roles,” writes Sharma in his Tweet.

In his tweet, Sharma wrote that all roles in product, tech and business at Paytm can avail a remote working arrangement .

Clearly in this war for talent and a volatile talent market, Sharma is trying to attract talent by showing flexibility at Paytm.

This year in the month of March, the company had reported that it has rolled out about 145 offers at the campuses and aims to become one of the favoured recruiters at top campuses such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow.

In this hiring spree, the company has majorly filled roles in growth and product such as lending, insurance, wealth management and offline payments.

The company has also offered stock options to existing employees in the company to retain some of the top talent. This year Paytm gave 3.97 million new stock options to employees, mostly senior talent, at the rate of Rs 9 per share.

There is a never ending debate on remote work and work from the office. On one hand companies such as Goldman Sachs, Apple and Tesla vouch for working in offices, on the other there are companies such as Paytm that are using flexibility as a selling point to attract people.
