The company plans to increase its team strength from 100 to 500 in the next few months.
PepperTap, a mobile-based grocery delivery service, seems to be in a mad rush to increase its team strength by five folds. It aims to expand its team of 100 employees to 500, in the next few months.
This rush to expand its workforce comes post the Series-A funding, which it received from SAIF Partners and Sequoia Capital.
PepperTap is scouting for skilled professionals across verticals – operations, technology, analytics, business development and marketing.
The hiring process will involve shortlisting of suitable candidates followed by HR screening and two rounds of interviews. The first round of interview will be with the team manager and the second one with the vertical head.
In an official communique, the company states that it would prefer fresh candidates, who have the ability to unleash their mettle and move on to the next level. Like most startups, PepperTap encourages hiring through referrals.
Navneet Singh, co-founder, PepperTap, says, “We are utilising our Series-A funding to hire skilled resources for our organisation and expand our operations across the major cities of the country.”
“Widening our employee base will give a fillip to the company’s operations. It will help us realise our goal of strengthening our pan India presence in the face of rising number of customers for PepperTap’s hassle-free and timely services,” adds Singh.
PepperTap claims a turnaround of 300 orders per day on weekdays and 400 orders per day on weekends.
The company targets covering the entire expanse of Delhi along with Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai in the next quarter and bringing the top 10 cities of India in its orbit in the next one year.
