The 4,00,000 sq. ft. area will add 3500 new workstations and take Sapient’s total India capacity close to the 10,000 mark.
Sapient, a global services company that helps clients transform in the areas of business, marketing, and technology, yesterday inaugurated its single largest premises in Bengaluru. The 4,00,000 sq. ft. area will add 3500 new workstations and take Sapient’s total India capacity close to the 10,000 mark. The new office is located in Virgo tower ‘B’, Bagmane Business Constellation Business Park, Bengaluru.
Rajdeep Endow, managing director, Sapient India said, “We are a company that comprises 84 per cent millennials. The new innovative office space has been designed to appeal to this group and for today’s flexible work styles. An open environment is a breeding ground for innovation, collaboration and co-creation. I am confident that it will enable our people to develop boundary-breaking ideas for our clients.”
Designed in line with the company’s core values, the open team areas provide a sense of togetherness and give a feel of large floor plate. Whiteboards dominate the office space and are used for meetings and work plans. Each floor has been designed keeping in mind a specific theme starting from Europe, Australia, Asia-Pacific, to India to cater to all tastes. The collaborative/huddle areas add up as informal spaces where people can interact and team up in an unrestrictive environment, thereby stimulating new ideas. Lounge seats have been dispersed in between the workstations providing working flexibility to employees.
Keeping in mind a working model for sustainability, several new-age features such as wave-shaped diffusers, daylight sensors, occupancy sensors, smart air-conditioning, and green elements are fitted to minimise energy consumption.
To celebrate the move, Sapient India had organised ‘small steps, big difference’, a walk with the aim to make a difference to the lives of underprivileged and differently-abled children on August 24. Sapient will contribute an amount equivalent to the total step count for the walk undertaken by its people, to three local NGOs supported through the Sapient Gives Back programme. These NGOs work to provide free and high-quality education to underprivileged children living in the slums and villages.
