During the ongoing Janta Bhetghat Programme in the Zoom Salghari and Soreng–Chakung Assembly constituency, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, emphasised the commitment of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party to tackle healthcare and employment concerns for the people of Sikkim.
The initiative will help the residents to travel to Gangtok for medical treatment, especially since most are unable to do so due to geographical constraints. For more complex cases, where referrals to other states are necessary, the government will also facilitate the process and provide financial support.
The Janta Bhetghat Programme, initiated in the Soreng–Chakung Assembly constituency, spans over two days – January 10 and 11. It aims to provide a platform for citizens to voice their grievances and present their issues directly to the government.
During the programme, the chief minister meets residents from Salghari–Zoom, Gelling and Baiguney ward constituency. Additionally, they also meet people from municipalities and Nagar Panchayat.
Tamang also expressed his commitment to spending additional time connecting with the public and addressing their concerns, extending the programme to 12 January.
The government stated that it has consistently supported residents, especially those encountering challenges in the health and employment sectors. Notably, Tamang also announced the forthcoming distribution of appointment letters on a district-wise basis, ensuring opportunities for citizens across the region.
Addressing the employment sector, Tamang highlighted the government’s efforts in scrutinising documents and processing appointment orders for deserving candidates. The distribution of these appointment orders will occur systematically, covering all constituencies and districts.
