Vikraman N has been elevated to the position of director – HR, Bharat Electronics (BEL). Earlier, Vikraman was executive director (radar) and unit head of the Ghaziabad unit of BEL.
Equipped with a bachelor of engineering (honours) in electronics and communication, and a postgraduate diploma in human-resource management, Vikraman comes with over three decades of experience.
He has been exposed to all aspects of human resources as well as various fuctions in the domain of radars and missile systems, including testing, marketing and customer support.
Vikraman has been awarded with the Raksha Mantri’s Award for Innovation and is a certified project-management professional from the Project Management Institue, US.
During his tenure as the unit head of the Ghaziabad unit, BEL posted the maximum profits and turnover. He was selected for the Achiever award.
Before heading the Ghaziabad unit, he was general manager – HR, at the corporate office, where he institutionalised HR policies and strategies in alignment with BEL’s business needs.
He introduced new systems and processes in various areas including training and development, manpower planning, skill development, performance management, competency development and so on.
He is credited with ensuring a work environment that was learning friendly by setting up the BEL Academy for Excellence. He also helped establish the ERP-based learning management system for talent management. The blended e-learning platform was also introduced under his supervision, to encourage flexible learning.
