Future Generali India Insurance (FGII), has promoted Akshaya Kashyap to the role of chief people officer (CPO), effective 1 October, 2023. Kashyap will take over from Sunil Wariar, who superannuated from service in September this year.
Kashyap has been a part of the company over almost a decade as its senior vice president-human resources. With a career spanning over two decades, Kashyap comes with rich and diverse experience in the human resource (HR) domain.
Kashyap joined the company in November 2013 as the assistant vice president-HR. He served in this position for over two years and then was promoted to general manager-HR in February 2016. He also had the opportunity to work in Generali Vietnam, where he improved his skills in managing and handling various functions.
Prior to joining FGII, Kashyap was associated with India Life (FGIL), as its deputy general manager in HR. He also gained valuable experience working in different industries such as auto ancillary, manufacturing and retail.
Anup Rau, managing director and chief executive officer, Future Generali India Insurance Company believes the appointment is “in alignment with its employee- centric philosophy, focusing on promoting the company’s dedicated team members.” He is “confident that Kashyap will build on the platform established by Wariar and further extend the company’s culture where employees from diverse backgrounds work collaboratively and in a cohesive manner,” he added.
Rau also thanked Wariar for being “instrumental in shaping the company’s HR policies and ’employee first’ approach.“
