Sudhanshu Pathak has been elevated to vice president – human resources at JK Tyre & Industries. Pathak had joined the tyre manufacturing company in 2019, as head – HR and OD.
An alumnus of IIT-Kharagpur, as well as IIT-Mumbai, Pathak has completed a PhD in behavioural competencies and performance from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
Pathak’s tryst with HR began as HR executive at Jindal Steel & Power back in 1995. After that, he worked for two years with Rajinder Steels as assistant manager –HR before moving to Orient Electric.
A successful five-year tenure at Orient Electric saw him heading factory HR (for Faridabad and Calcutta factories). He was responsible for manpower planning and people management (contractual and on-roll), industrial relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation & benefits, personnel policies, training and development.
In 2003, he joined JK Organisation (EZ) as DGM – group corporate HR. Fours years later, he moved to Reliance Retail as GM – HR. There, he got to work in the area of talent engagement across several formats and several state operations and also engage with expats from Wal-Mart and Tesco.
In 2007, he joined LG Electronics India as head -HRD & training, and went on to become leader – global talent management in 2010. By 2012, he was heading HRD & culture at LG Electronics. After five and a half years in this role, he switched to the higher-education space. He joined Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, as professor and head – HR and development.
Continuing in the same sector, he joined Jaipuria Institute of Management as professor – general and strategic management.
In his latest assignment at JK Tyre, Pathak will lead HR and OD to make the Company a globally trusted tyre brand, by continuously working on the values of care, integrity and commitment to excellence.
