Mind Your Fleet a Indian start-up for car rental services has appointed Debjani Roy as their new CHRO. In her new role, Roy would be responsible to lead the HR function of the whole company. Prior to this role Roy was the chief people officer at SRL Diagnostics where she was heading the HR function and was also part of the board.

As the start-up is planning to expand, Roy would be providing strategic advise to the company in HR. According to her the company will also scale up their hiring activity.

“Mind your fleet is a tech company and we would require people with computer skills such as UI and special skills in technology. We might also hire for some key sales positions in the company,” told Roy to HRKatha.

She has a wide experience in various sectors such as manufacturing, IT and tech, travel, telecom and healthcare.

Looking at her long career, Roy has worked in many different roles of HR in different sectors. But now she has moved to a start-up culture which has some different challenges to offer.

“Mind Your Fleet has a very different culture. The workforce is pretty young. More than a challenge I see it as an interesting and fascinating journey. Managing a young workforce would be a challenge but I would really enjoy it. The policies will be fresh, flexible and inclusive in nature,” shares Roy.

She adds, “While working with a young workforce it is very important to give a sense of consolidation and making right policies so that it ensures the culture is going in the right way.”
