Mondelēz International, the global snack company, has appointed Stephanie Lilak to the post of executive vice president and chief people officer, effective from 15 January, 2024. She is taking over from Paulette Alviti, who will superannuate in April after a transition period. Alviti is concluding her five-and-a-half-year tenure with the company.
In the new role, Lilak will oversee the company’s global human resources function. She will spearhead talent management, leadership capabilities, compensation and benefits, change management, employee relations, and also promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Lilak will report directly to Dirk Van de Put, chairman and chief executive officer, Mondelēz International. She will also be a part of the company’s leadership team.
Lilak brings with her a wealth of experience accumulated over the last three decades in human resources. She has worked with many companies such as General Mills, Dunkin Brands, Cooper, First Watch Restaurants and Bumble.
Prior to joining Mondelēz, Lilak was associated with Bumble. It is one of the first online dating platforms, as its chief people officer for over two years.
Her longest stint was with General Mills, where she dedicated 23 years, holding leadership roles in human resources. She was managing various functions at the company, including sales, operations and international positions. She joined the company in the year 1996.
After General Mills, Lilak moved to Dunkin Brands in the year 2019. She spearheaded numerous influential initiatives related to talent, organisational development, and culture, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and the well-being of its workforce.
She is an alumna of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, having earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and her master’s degree in industrial relations.
