Ford Motor Company has appointed Samir Singh as director talent acquisition – APAC, placing him at the centre of its talent strategy for the Asia-Pacific region as the automaker sharpens its focus on innovation, connected vehicles, electrification and the future of mobility.

In his new remote mandate effective July 2026, Samir is heading Ford’s talent acquisition strategy across APAC, with a clear brief – accelerate transformation through AI-enabled innovation and data-driven decision making, strengthen regional talent capabilities and build a future-ready function that mirrors Ford’s evolving global priorities.

He joins Ford after a three-year stint at Verizon in Hyderabad, where he most recently served as director – talent acquisition India from January 2024 to July 2026. Leading a 40-member team across lateral, campus and executive hiring, he partnered with business on ramp-up planning, market intelligence and forecasting, while driving process efficiencies and championing a culture of high performance, trust, inclusion and innovation. A vocal DEI ally, his focus has been on expanding diversity across regional, gender, PwD, veteran and LGBTQ cohorts. Prior to that, he was associate director – talent acquisition India at Verizon from July 2023 to December 2023.

His career graph reflects deep expertise in both tech and enabling functions. At Amazon Web Services, he served as talent acquisition leader – ProServe (India) from January 2022 to July 2023, supporting 20 business competencies across five cities and setting up the recruitment team in India while conceptualising the India HR shared services sourcing model for UK and US hiring. At UL, he was global talent acquisition leader – MEA & APAC from July 2021 to January 2022.

Before that, Samir spent over five years at Deloitte Consulting India as associate vice president – talent acquisition (enabling areas & member firms) from April 2016 to July 2021, leading a 30+ recruiter team supporting tech and non-tech functions across 19 businesses and 96 service lines globally.

At Dell International Services India from December 2009 to April 2016, he grew from manager – talent acquisition Mohali to site lead for Gurgaon, Mohali and Noida BPS, standardising systems for uniform candidate experience and leading recruitment across leadership, lateral and frontline levels.

He started his journey in 2002 in IT consulting, and has held talent roles at Fidelity Investments from 2004 to 2006 where he built a resume management system, at United Health Group in 2006-2007 scaling IT hiring from 100 to 1,200 professionals, and at Quatrro BPO Solutions from 2007 to 2009 managing frontline hiring across seven verticals.

HRKatha wishes Samir Singh all the best!
